26th January Republic day

Every year we observe this day as an occasion of  Republic Day. what is the actual meaning of the word Republic? we should know why we celebrate this day ?. what is the history is behind this day?
we observe it as a national holiday on the 26th of January. on this day our constitution came into force.
our forefathers give a supreme authority to us in form of the constitution "The law book ".
The word Republic comes from the Latin words res publica, which means a "public thing".
A state is called to be a republic state where the supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives.
we the people of India every time demands our rights, the constitution has given us but before the rights constitution maintains fundamental duties also. we ask himself shall we perform our fundamental duties properly for our nation?
if the answer is yes then you have the right to enjoy fundamental rights given by the supreme law book of India. if the answer is No then you have no right to demand your fundamental rights.
For example, our constitution gives us freedom of speech, by which we criticize any portfolio. but in china where "Jackma", a billionaire is not free for his expression and speech against the Chinese government.
we are thankful to our lawmakers for giving such a beautiful gift to us.
for remembering the great work of our forefathers we celebrate the 26th of January as Republic Day and it also called as The Constitution day of INDIA.
